Triple Pelvic Osteotomy Video Has Anyone's Dog Had A TPO Procedure?

Has anyone's dog had a TPO procedure? - triple pelvic osteotomy video

My dog was just w / hip dysplasia is diagnosed and the vet recommends a triple pelvic osteotomy. If your dog has had this procedure, how long and how he / she now? If the OPC is not your dog has a different procedure, and what were the results. Thanks for the comments and advice they can offer.

However, the results depend not on the procedure. You need to be careful .. An operation is successful in general, if done correctly.

Most large breeds are prone to hip dysplasia and elbow to wrist, and dysplasia. It is by the weight of the joint with daily activities.

We had one of our dogs have TPO 8 months, it was a slow recovery since a severe skin infection in the mesh, and had more surgery to remove the skin to have. I do not know now, she goes with another, she is 3 years. We finance trained to keep their practice is limited after surgery, and swimming was recommended by our vet.

My Golden had a TPO over 13 years. Since then, much has changed. There is a Yahoo group for people with questions about OPT. He is a member tpo@yahoogroups.com keeping requires the assent (for spammers), by calling a message that the owner knows a little about yourself. Good luck!

You must join the Yahoo group called "Orthodogs"

They are a wonderful support group, all of your questions answered and help can deal with their anxieties as he faces surgery for your dog. My husband Pyr TPLO surgery, but it is due to injury to knee ligaments.

In any case, I think this group is supportive, informative, educational and useful.
